Living in the Let Go

This morning I connected with my prayer partner in gratitude for the good in my life now and the greater good that is also revealing itself now. Although I admitted that I hadn’t slept the night before because there were things in my life that didn’t feel settled or resolved, I framed the discomfort as the feeling that comes before the breakthrough. Indeed it is the breakthrough that transforms any notion of uncertainty or stuckness into clarity and freedom.

So what do I mean when I use the term ‘living in the let go’. I believe it is a term used by Spiritual Master, Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith, Founder of Agape International Spiritual Center. For me the phrase means 'allowing and accepting' , that in the midst of life’s vicissitudes, the challenges and struggles that we encounter, rather than worrying, trying to figure it out or fix it, just stop, be still and surrender. Let go and let God, trusting that God has it handled, resolved, done.

Can you imagine just for a moment, letting it all go, allowing it to be received and transformed, in and through the love, peace, joy and grace of God. How does that feel?

I know that there is a Master Plan for my life and your life too. As a spiritual being having a human experience, it’s my task to be in alignment with the Master Plan. Again this means allowing and accepting that the way, the solution and the breakthrough is already in our midst, in our actual being. In our surrender and letting go, it is revealed, it is handled, it is done.

That’s how living in the let go allows me to experience peace, freedom and gratitude in my life, (regardless of appearances).

Do you have a story of living in the let go that you’d like to share?
